The issuance of the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) emergency temporary standard mandating vaccinations or weekly COVID-19 testing may be followed by similar requirements at the state and local levels in California. As a result, California employers may have to apply the state exemptions relating to religious and medical accommodations.
