On September 23, 2022, the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection published proposed rules to implement the city’s automated employment decision tools law. The law, which will take effect on January 1, 2023, conditions employers’ and employment agencies’ use of such tools in recruiting and employment decision-making on the entities’ performance of bias audits and furnishing of notifications to candidates and employees. In this webinar, the speakers will discuss compliance steps for employers, review related federal and state initiatives and trends to watch in 2023, and tackle questions about the implications of the new law for multistate employers.
