On September 13, 2022, the German Federal Labor Court ruled that European Directive 2003/88/EC requires employers to record the working time of all their employees. Dr. Ulrike Conradi and Andre Appel from Ogletree’s Berlin office will shed light on what this decision means for employers, including what must be recorded, what options employers have, and what effects the obligation to record working time has on individual working time models. The speakers will also review the status of a pending amendment related to the recording of working time, and other developments being discussed in Germany and Europe regarding the reorientation of working time.
