With the revocation of Executive Order (EO) 11246, employers may be wondering what affirmative action program (AAP) obligations may still exist for state contractors with respect to race and sex. There is no consistent scheme among the states that requires state contractors to engage in affirmative action; however, many states do have requirements similar to those previously mandated under EO 11246 for federal contractors.
