On July 1, 2025, the California Civil Rights Department (CRD) published a notice and answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding the rights of survivors of violence and their family members to take unpaid leave and request accommodations at work. The initiative, mandated by Assembly Bill (AB) 2499, requires employers to provide the notice to employees at specified times, engage in an interactive process to address accommodation requests, and ensure the confidentiality of any related documentation. Join this webinar for an overview of the rights of violence survivors and their family members under AB 2499, as well as tips for California employers on how to integrate these rights and obligations into their workplace policies.
