Effective January 1, 2026,allemployers with one or more employees in Minnesota must comply with the new Paid Leave Law. This webinar will provide a detailed overview of the law, including eligibility requirements, coordination of benefits (such as paid time off, earned sick and safe time, and short-term disability), premiums, required notices, supplementation of wages, and options for equivalent coverage. The speakers will also cover IRS guidance related to contribution deductions, what is included or excluded from gross income, benefits, and reporting and withholding requirements. Additionally, they will address the upcoming changes in Minnesota regarding mandated paid rest breaks and unpaid meal breaks, including any associated penalties.Â
