Keeping Current in California With Charles and Leslie

Charles Thompson and Leslie Wallis will review the new employment-related legislation recently signed by Governor Gavin Newsom, which will take effect on January 1, 2026. These new laws include additional compliance obligations under the Cal-WARN Act. Danielle Ochs, a shareholder in the firm’s San Francisco and co-chair of the Technology Practice Group, will explain the new California laws and regulations relating to artificial intelligence (AI) and automated decision-making systems, as well as provide insights from the California Civil Rights Department on AI.
