Ogletree Deakins Revamps Government Contracting Group to Address Shifting Federal Landscape

Ogletree Deakins has expanded the scope and leadership of its Government Contracting and Compliance Practice Group, adding Washington, D.C., office managing shareholder Jim Murphy as co-chair. Murphy joins current co-chairs Scott Kelly and Joseph Ashman as the group broadens its focus beyond labor and employment matters to encompass general compliance support for federal contractors, adding top attorneys from across the firm’s practice areas to address evolving needs.

Today, federal contractors often need help with both employment and procurement-related issues, and the new group will provide clients with broad support through an integrated team, rather than a “compartmentalized approach,” said Murphy.
