Two Ogletree Deakins Attorneys Graduate From Local Leadership Programs

GREENVILLE, SC – May 27, 2008 – Ogletree Deakins announced today that attorneys Matthew K. Johnson and Thomas A. Bright have graduated from leadership programs sponsored by the Greenville Chamber of Commerce and the Greer Chamber of Commerce, respectively. The programs are aimed at strengthening community leadership.

Matthew K. Johnson, a shareholder at Ogletree Deakins, graduated from Leadership Greenville Class 34. Sponsored by the Greenville Chamber of Commerce each year since 1973, Leadership Greenville is designed to help develop informed, committed, and qualified leaders for Greenville County.  By intensively examining the issues affecting the county, Leadership Greenville prepares and motivates participants to provide quality, dynamic leadership.

Thomas A. Bright, also a shareholder at Ogletree Deakins, graduated from Leadership Greer Class 28.  Established in 1978, Leadership Greer is a development program created by the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce. The program helps identify and shape leaders in the Greer community. Program objectives include challenging participants to respond to the needs of the community, creating a sense of teamwork between participants and community leaders, and identifying opportunities for community involvement.
