Ogletree Deakins Deepens Workplace Health and Safety Practice, Welcomes Wayne Pinkstone as Shareholder

   |   Press Release

PHILADELPHIA – June 17, 2021 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Wayne Pinkstone to its Philadelphia office as shareholder. Wayne joins Ogletree Deakins from Fox Rothschild LLP, where he was a partner.

An experienced labor and employment attorney, Wayne helps in-house counsel, human resources executives, and company leadership identify and solve a full range of workplace legal challenges, particularly those involving safety and health issues. Wayne provides strategic advice and conducts Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) compliance audits on a national scope that allow employers to mitigate compliance risk, avoid violations, and respond effectively to OSHA inspections and investigations.

Wayne represents organizations in a wide range of industries on both state and federal levels, including health care, manufacturing, services, construction, retail, and technology. His employment litigation and counseling practice will continue to focus on clients based in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

In the event of a workplace incident, Wayne provides comprehensive representation. He conducts thorough internal investigations to provide employers with the facts, helps them determine their best course of action, and acts as their liaison with OSHA investigators.

Through his tenacious and pragmatic approach, Wayne strategically counsels employers on employee relations, personnel, and labor issues, including leave and disability matters, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, workforce reductions, employee whistleblower, and wage and hour compliance. Wayne’s extensive experience also includes defending employers in disputes regarding restrictive covenants and trade secrets.

In addition to his litigation practice, Wayne leads in-house training sessions on a myriad of topics, including hiring practices, terminations, leave and disability, harassment prevention, supervisory skills and practices, and OSHA compliance and investigations.

“Wayne’s strategic approach to litigation, his workplace safety and health acumen, combined with his proven ability to exceed client expectations make him an excellent addition to our team,” said Don Gamburg, managing shareholder of Ogletree Deakins’ Philadelphia office.

Wayne has been highly recognized and involved in his legal and local communities throughout his career. He has received the Martindale-Hubbell AV Peer Rating. Wayne was a recipient of the Exemplary Pro Bono Services Award from the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, and was named a Distinguished Advocate by the Support Center for Child Advocates. He is a volunteer attorney for the Support Center for Child Advocates and on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels of Mercer County. Wayne earned his J.D. from Widener University School of Law.
