ATLANTA – September 7, 2021 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor, employment, and business immigration law firms representing management, announces a multi-year partnership with Invest Northern Ireland to establish a Global Solutions Center in Belfast. Ogletree Deakins will grow its Global Solutions Center utilizing a phased approach beginning September 2021. Members of the Global Solutions Center in Belfast will be a highly-skilled group of paralegals who will work in tandem with Ogletree Deakins’ U.S.-based Immigration Practice Group to handle H-1B visas and PERM labor certifications, along with a host of time-sensitive work required for the firm’s high-volume business immigration clients. Revenue for Ogletree Deakins’ business immigration and global mobility services has soared by nearly 60 percent in the last five years, and the paralegals in the Global Solutions Center will provide additional needed support for the firm’s expanding practice. The annual economic impact for Northern Ireland will be approximately $2.5 million nearing the conclusion of the firm’s phased approach.
With its global mobility practice amassing more than 100 full-time immigration attorneys, 200 paralegals, and more than 100 additional support professionals, Ogletree Deakins has one of the largest business immigration practices in the United States and provides a wide range of legal services for employers seeking temporary business visas and permanent residence on behalf of foreign national employees. The firm’s Immigration Practice Group consists of experienced and dedicated immigration lawyers who work with domestic and international corporations and businesses in developing appropriate strategies to facilitate the international transfer of skilled employees. Earlier this year, the firm announced a global alliance with KPMG Law in Germany to provide businesses with global workforce solutions.
“This is an exciting opportunity for us. The Global Solutions Center will add bench strength to help support high-volume U.S. immigration matters and government surges,” said Matt Keen, managing shareholder of Ogletree Deakins. “This Center is a manifestation of our Client Pledge commitment to anticipate our clients’ needs and collaborate with them to develop creative business solutions.”
Kevin Holland, CEO, Invest Northern Ireland said, “Northern Ireland has lots to offer potential investors–skilled and dedicated workforce, great place to live, excellent infrastructure–to name just a few. We are delighted Ogletree Deakins has chosen to locate their new center here, joining many other leading firms.”
