Ogletree Deakins Expands European Capabilities, Welcomes Jacqueline Piran as Partner in Berlin

BERLIN – April 5, 2022 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome veteran employment attorney Jacqueline Piran to the firm’s Berlin office as a partner. Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Jacqueline acted as founding partner of PIRAN Employment Law Offices, a labor and employment law firm she established more than 15 years ago. She began her career at Baker McKenzie in Frankfurt, Germany.

Jacqueline has more than 20 years of experience representing and advising German and international employers on the full spectrum of employment law issues, including mergers and acquisitions, employee contracts and collective agreements, redundancies, restructurings, transfer of undertakings, privatizations, and corporate transactions. An experienced litigator, she has appeared for many clients before all levels of German courts.

Jacqueline represents a range of clients from medium-sized companies and subsidiaries of international groups to startups and nonprofits. She has significant experience coordinating global employment law projects and advising clients on the implementation of international compensation schemes and HR policies.

In addition to her legal prowess, Jacqueline is active in the German legal community and is a member of several professional groups, including the German Lawyers Association, Berlin Lawyers Association, and European Employment Lawyers Association. She regularly writes on employment law topics including discrimination, global employment, and termination. After completing both Legal State Examinations, Jacqueline became a Certified Employment Law Specialist in 2003.
