MINNEAPOLIS – August 3, 2026 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Greta Bauer Reyes to the firm’s Minneapolis office as a shareholder. Reyes joins the firm from Stinson LLP, where she was a partner in the firm’s employment law practice.
Reyes is an experienced workplace safety attorney, employment law advisor, and litigator with more than 15 years of experience. She partners with employers of all sizes to provide practical solutions for day-to-day issues and complex management decisions, while closely following developments from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Reyes works with internal teams to draft and implement workplace policies; design and deliver training; and respond to accident investigations, allegations of unsafe workplace conditions, and safety-related retaliation complaints. She serves numerous industries, with a focus on rail, transit, and hospitality, all of which face stringent scrutiny from workplace safety regulators.
“Greta’s skillset is a great fit for the office, and she puts a major focus on client service, which aligns perfectly with our approach here,” said Pat Martin, office managing shareholder in Minneapolis. “Whether she’s responding to a workplace safety incident, working with a client on an employment advising matter, or appearing in a courtroom, Greta provides the kind of proactive, hands-on partnership employers are looking for right now. She is a great match for the kind of practical, on-the-ground support our clients across the Midwest need.”
Reyes moves seamlessly from advisor to defense attorney, representing employers in federal and state courts across a variety of matters. This includes defending against discrimination and harassment complaints before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, and the Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights; in whistleblower and retaliation cases; and in OSHA investigations and related litigation.
“Because I hear both sides of these issues, in court and in conversation with business leaders, I bring a perspective that helps clients get practical results,” said Reyes. “The goal is to create workplace policies that employees can actually follow, not just ones that read well on paper. That’s a value I see reflected at Ogletree Deakins, and it’s one of the reasons why I decided to join the firm. Collaboration with Ogletree’s deep bench of practical legal experts, who I now get to call my partners, will lead to uniquely tailored, practical solutions for clients.”
Reyes earned her J.D., cum laude, from Hamline University School of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law) and her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is fluent in Spanish and dedicates pro bono time to representing asylum seekers from Latin America through The Advocates for Human Rights organization.
