BOSTON – August 10, 2021 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest business immigration practices in the United States, expands its capabilities in the Northeastern United States with the addition of Dan Maranci, who joins the firm’s Boston office as shareholder. Dan has practiced business immigration law for more than 20 years, most recently as a partner at Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP. Dan’s arrival continues to signal strong growth across Ogletree Deakins’ Immigration Practice Group and global platform, which earlier this month added an immigration practice in the firm’s San Diego office.
Dan actively partners with employers on immigration best practices and strategies and serves as a trusted counselor to clients on day-to-day immigration issues. He has substantial knowledge of complex business immigration issues and experience as an advisor and service provider within a multinational corporation. Dan conducts compliance policy reviews and audits, and efficiently manages immigration processes for high-volume clients.
The Immigration Practice Group’s knowledgeable and dedicated immigration lawyers provide a wide range of legal services for employers seeking temporary business visas and permanent residence on behalf of foreign national employees. Ogletree Deakins also offers global immigration and international mobility and employment law services to clients through alliances with strategic partners, including a global alliance with KPMG Law in Germany[1], announced earlier this year.
“With growing employer demands for a technology-powered and client centric approach to business immigration and global mobility challenges, we are excited to continue expanding our footprint,” said Bernhard Mueller, co-chair of the Immigration Practice Group. “Dan is a highly-respected, trusted, influential, and knowledgeable practitioner on a full range of business immigration matters, and he shares the firm’s vision for providing premier client service. We are pleased to welcome him to the firm and the Immigration Practice Group.”
“Technology and related processes are key differentiators in the practice of immigration law, and we are proud to effectively utilize technology and innovation to enhance client service,” said Jacky Maroney, co-chair of the Immigration Practice Group. “Dan’s understanding of the processes involved in high volume immigration work will allow him to work with our team of experts in developing and enhancing our technology offerings. His prowess will greatly benefit our clients as we continue to expand our offerings. We are thrilled to welcome Dan to the firm.”
