State and local laws legalizing recreational and medical marijuana have been “growing like a weed.” More and more of the population (including an increasing percentage of the workforce) is now legally using marijuana. This dynamic is forcing employers to make tough choices regarding whether to continue workplace drug tests that include marijuana or to eliminate those tests in the face of a tight labor pool for skilled employees and other workers.
