The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) turned the employment world upside down on May 13, 2021, when the public health agency changed its COVID-19–related guidelines to allow vaccinated individuals to be together, both indoors and outdoors, without masks or social distancing. While the guidelines are not workplace specific, they apply to workplaces as well as other settings—and some employers are feeling employee pressure to loosen masking and distancing policies. In this webinar, the speakers will address the various issues employers may want to take into account when making changes to their COVID-19 prevention plans. The speakers will also discuss the possible responses from OSHA and consider other relevant activities in Washington, D.C., and in workplaces around the country.
