Louisiana Governor Extends Stay-at-Home Order Through at Least April 30, 2020

On March 30, 2020, Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards orally announced that he will be extending the state’s March 22, 2020, stay-at-home order, Proclamation 33-JBE-2020, at least until the end of April 2020. The restrictions on face-to-face interaction, social distancing, and business operations set forth in Proclamation 33-JBE-2020 were set to expire on April 13, 2020, but Governor Edwards has indicated they could remain in place through the month of May to give Louisiana an opportunity to “flatten the curve” of spreading coronavirus.
