In this edition of Keeping Current in California, Charles Thompson and Leslie Wallis will discuss recent cases that may affect California employers’ decision to present employee arbitration agreements, as well as pending legislation that could impact employers’ enforcement of restrictive covenants. They also will cover height and weight discrimination, the status of the U.S. Secretary of Labor appointment, new guidance from the EEOC related to COVID-19 and from the DOL on the PUMP Act, and litigation relating to employers classifying gig workers as independent contractors.
